Obituary
Ida Joann
Harlow, 80, of Lavalette, went home to be with her Lord and her husband
December 4, 2007 at the Hospice House of Huntington.
Funeral services will be conducted 11 a.m. Friday, December 7, 2007 at Heck
Funeral Home, Milton with Rev. Bob Ray officiating.
Burial will follow in
Forest
Memorial Park,
Milton. She
was born September 23, 1927 in
Milton,
W.Va., a daughter of the late
Clayton Sovine and Grace Ramsey Sovine. She was preceded
in death by he husband, Wilton “Pete” Harlow in March 2007.
Also preceding her in death was a brother, Walter C. Sovine.
Joann lived in
Detroit,
Michigan and
Bristol,
Virginia most of her adult life
and recently moved back here to life with her sister-in-law, Kathy P. Sovine
after the death of her husband. Surviving family
includes her sister and brother-in-law, Betty Jane and Samuel Watkins Jr.
Also surviving is Kathy P. Sovine of
Lavalette,
W.Va. a sister-in-law who so
graciously and generously opened her heart and home to care for Joann until
her death. Special nieces and nephews, Connie Sovine,
Brenda Meadows, Rick Watkins, Kathy Kirby, Sam Watkins III, Daniel Davis,
Victoria Sovine and Faith Meadows. Special thanks to St.
Mary’s
Medical
Center, Dr. Dawn
Macfarland, Dr. David Daniels, Dr. J. Eastone, Dr. P. Chandran and Hospice
House of Huntington. Friends may visit from 6 to 8 p.m.
