Obituary

Audrey Vickers Manning, 94, of Culloden, passed away Wednesday, December 12, 2007 at Sunbridge Care and Rehabilitation of Putnam, Hurricane.  Funeral service will be conducted 11:00 AM, Saturday, December 15, 2007 at Heck Funeral Home, Milton with Pastor Claude Spurlock and Rev. David Vickers officiating.  Burial will follow in Forest Memorial Park, Milton.  She was born December 21, 1912 the daughter of the late Eli and Mary Moore Vickers.  She was also preceded in death by her husband, Ivan Woodell Manning; two brothers, Albert and Herbert Vickers; and twin granddaughters, Melissa and Sherrie Manning.  Audrey was a member of the First Missionary Baptist Church of Culloden and a former teacher in the Lincoln County School System.  She is survived by one son, Gary Manning, Sr. and his wife, Mary Young Manning of Culloden; one grandson, Garry Manning, Jr.; two granddaughters, Peggy (Bruce) Chapman and Tammy Neal; and four great grandchildren, Zachary, Meghan, Kaitlyn, and Logan Manning.  Friends may call from 6 to 9 PM on Friday, December 15, 2007 at Heck Funeral Home, Milton.  The family requests donations be made to Hospice of Dunbar or Hospice of Huntington.
