Obituary

Basil Eugene Henry, 78, of Milton, went home to be with the Lord on Tuesday, May 6, 2008 at Heritage Center, Huntington.  Funeral service will be conducted 11:00 AM, Friday, May 9, 2008 at Heck Funeral Home, Milton with Rev. Jamie Jefferson and Rev. Gordon Rutherford officiating.  Burial will follow in Union Ridge Cemetery.  Basil was born March 13, 1930 in Cabell Co., WV a son of the late Clyde and Ruzella Scarberry Henry.  He was also preceded in death by two brothers, Kelson and Johnny; sister, Alma “Bunny” Kuhn; brother-in-law, Sylvester “Beck” Ryder.  He is survived by his loving wife, Ollie Faye Henry; one daughter and son-in-law, Debbie and Danny Craigo of Milton; one son and his fiancé, Gary Henry and Jackie Dotson of Lesage; two sisters and one brother-in-law, Pauline Ryder of Lesage and Gladys and Darrell Ellis of Gallipolis, OH; brother-in-law, Harold Kuhn of Barboursville; three grandchildren, Shane Barrett, Tara Craigo and her boyfriend, Brett Weekley, and Amber Henry; two step grandchildren, Brittany Dotson and Tyler Dotson.  He worked in the service department for Island Creek Coal Company.  He was a member of Union Ridge Chapel Church.  He will be sadly missed by all of us.  Friends may call from 5 to 8 PM on Thursday, May 8, 2008 at Heck Funeral Home, Milton.
