Murrel Edwin
Ball, 83, of
Milton, passed away Thursday,
December 31, 2009 at his home. He was born April 7,
1926, the son of the late Talmage Ball and Essie Brown Ball.
He was also preceded in his death by two sisters, Patricia Nibert and
Dora Kuhn. He is survived by his wife of 54 years,
Nellie Ruth Ball; three sisters, Winifred Browning, Betty Keaton, and Edna
Ball; several nieces and nephews. Murrel was a graduate
of
Milton
High School and served with the Air
Force on
Okinawa. He worked at
Union Carbide for over 40 years. He retired in April,
1988, as Distribution Supervisor at the South Charleston Plant.
He was a member of the Lebanon Lodge #68, A.F. & A.M., Milton,
Scottish Rite Bodies of Huntington, the KCCH Club, The Huntington Shrine
Club, Huntington Commandery Knights Templar, Royal Arch Mason, Guyandotte
No. 10, Beni Kedem Shrine of
Charleston, and an honorary
member of the Faithful Forty Club and was a Kentucky Colonel.
In complying with his wishes, no visitation or funeral service will
be observed. Heck Funeral Home, Milton is
in charge of the arrangements. He will be loved and
missed. As a memorial to Murrel, please take a moment to
remember his kindness and his cheerful outlook on life.
He was a Christian since youth. He said goodbye to us
and hello to the Angels
