Obituary

James “Jamie” Jerald Collins, 39, of Barboursville, WV departed his life on December 6, 2009 at Cabell Huntington Hospital after a brief illness with leukemia.  Jamie was born July 12, 1970 in Huntington, WV. Jamie was a devoted son, father, husband, and brother.  He cared deeply for all of his family and friends and will be greatly missed but never forgotten.  Jamie was preceded in death by his father, Ronald Collins; and his grandfather, Albert “Biggin” Legg.   He is survived by his loving mother, Joyce Ann Collins;  stepfather, Gregory Alan Legg; grandmother, Helen O. Legg; his devoted wife, Barbara Suellen Hogsett Collins; six amazing children, Tara Ann Collins, Kayla Nicole Collins, Andrew Watts, Brandi Watts, Jessica Watts, and Austin Watts; two wonderful brothers, Bryan “Bub” Collins, Christopher “Bub” Legg; two beautiful sisters, Beverly “Sis” Bellomy, Rhonda “Sis” Collins; his mother and father-in-law, Jim and Jean Hogsett; four nieces, Brianna Collins, Madison Bellomy, Jordan Collins, and Ava Collins; his special Aunt Juanita Cremeans; a host of loving aunts and uncles along with a list of amazing friends.  Funeral service will be conducted 1:00 PM, Wednesday, December 9, 2009 at Heck Funeral Home, Milton with Rev. Bob Johnson officiating.  Burial will follow in Forest Memorial Park, Milton.  Visitation will be from noon to 1 PM, prior to the service on Wednesday at the funeral home.  The family requests donations be made to the Jamie Collins Fund and can be mailed to Beverly Bellomy, 57 Cedar Dr., Barboursville, WV  25504 to assist with current and unforeseen expenses.
