Obituary

Clarence “John” Kirtley, 81, of Milton passed away Wednesday, December 9, 2009 at home after a long illness.  Graveside service will be conducted at 11 a.m. Friday, December 11, 2009 at Forest Memorial Park Chapel with the Rev. Don Reynolds officiating.  He was born July 9, 1928 in Cabell County, WV, a son of the late Talbert and Lorana Johnson Kirtley.  He retired from CSX Railroad in 1992.  He is survived by his wife, Dolores Ann Collins Kirtley; three sons, John S. Kirtley and his wife, Kathy of Hurricane, Rodney A. Kirtley and his wife, Deborah of St. Albans and Tony L. Kirtley and his wife, Debra of Milton; one daughter, Cynthia J. Kirtley Varner and her husband, David of Parkersburg; six grandchildren, 10 great grandchildren and 2 step grandchildren.  There will be no visitation and the family requests that no flowers be sent.
