Obituary

Gertrud Keaton, 80, of Milton passed away Wednesday, November 18, 2009 at Lincoln Nursing and Rehab, Hamlin, WV.  Funeral service will be conducted at noon on Saturday, November 21, 2009 at Heck Funeral Home, Milton with Pastor David Vickers officiating.  Burial will follow in Forest Memorial Park, Milton.  She was born March 9, 1929 in Priestan, Czechoslovakia, a daughter of the late Herman and Emelie Wolfe.  She was also preceded in death by three brothers.  She is survived by one son and daughter-in-law, Ottie R. and Barbara Keaton of Hamlin; one daughter and son-in-law, Helen and Bobby Burns of Hamlin; one brother, Kurt Wolfe of Germany; two sisters, Margaret Smith of Florida and Eva Hinnerman of Texas; five grandchildren, Kevin Keaton, Krista Whitt, Greg Keaton, Lisa Gray and Amanda Bird; two step grandsons, seven great grandchildren; one special great grandson, Hunter; and special friend, Betty Clark.  Friends may call from 10:30 to noon Saturday at Heck Funeral Home.  The family would like to thank her special caregiver, Debbie Chaney, who cared for Gertrud in her home and also the staff at Lincoln Nursing and Rehab for their love and care.
