Obituary

IVA MARIE JENKINS, 83, of Glenwood, went home to be with the Lord on Saturday, Oct. 24, 2009, in St. Mary's Medical Center. Funeral service will be conducted 2 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 27, 2009, at Heck Funeral Home, Milton, with Rev. George Surgeon officiating. Burial will follow in Templeton Cemetery, Milton. She was born July 14, 1926, in Milton, W.Va., a daughter of the late Henry "Rube" and Martha Ann (Legg) Jenkins. She was also preceded in death by her sisters, Ella Edmonds, Della Stevens and Myrtle Mae Jenkins; her brothers, Henry, Virgil, Willie and Glen Jenkins. She was employed with Furniture Manufacturers Inc. for several years. She was the caregiver of her parents until they passed away. She was a member of Lawrence Chapel Church for over 60 years, where she was a primary Sunday school teacher, custodian and member of the choir. She is survived by her sister and brother-in-law, Ida and Vernon Black of Milton; and numerous nieces and nephews. Visitation will be Monday, Oct. 26, 2009, from 6 to 8 p.m. at Heck Funeral Home, Milton, WV
