Silas Edward Davis
July 5, 1930 - June 26, 2010

Silas Edward Davis, 79, of Milton, passed away on Saturday, June 26, 2010 at the Emogene Dolin Jones Hospice House, Huntington, WV. Funeral service will be conducted at 1 p.m. Tuesday, June 29, 2010 at Heck Funeral Home, Milton. Burial will follow in Mt. Moriah Cemetery, Hurricane. He was born July 5, 1930 in Cabell County, WV, a son of the late Charles and Elpha Meadows Davis. He was also preceded in death by one son, Tony Davis, an infant son and two brothers, Thomas and Winford Davis. Silas was employed at Slone’s Glass in Culloden and A to Z Supermarket in Hurricane. He is survived by his wife, Martha Mae Johnson Davis; one son, Brent (Renee) Davis of Culloden; two daughters, Cynthia (Carl) Glover of Milton and Sheila (Timmy) Shull of Milton; two brothers, Troy Davis of Culloden and Truman (Ruby) Davis of Hurricane; one sister, Wanda (Mike) Brown of Hurricane; five grandchildren, Dylan Davis, Tony Davis, Jamie Glover, Christine Glover and Clinton Black; and five great grandchildren. Friends may call from 6 to 8 p.m. Monday at Heck Funeral Home.
