Irene Cora Vannatter
 February 3, 1926 - June 23, 2010

Irene Cora Vannatter, 84, of Milton, WV, passed away Wednesday, June 23, 2010 at St, Mary’s Medical Center after an extended illness. She was born February 3, 1926 in Mason County, WV, a daughter of the late Andrew Meadows, Sr. and Sarah Holley Burns and stepfather, Leonard Burns. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her loving husband, Jackson L. Vannatter and her brother, Andrew Meadows, Jr. Irene spent her life as a homemaker caring for those she loved. Survivors include her son, Jackie L. Vannatter and wife, Carla of Huntington; three granddaughters, April M. Leffingwell (Jerry) of Catlettsburg, KY, Andrea D. Leffingwell (Alan) of Cherryville, NC and Kerri D. Vannatter of Huntington; one grandson, Andrew Tyler Vannatter of Huntington; four great grandchildren, Alyssa, Haven, Hunter and Kirsten Leffingwell. God blessed her with many close family and friends, who cared deeply for her. Funeral services will be conducted at 11 a.m. Saturday, June 26, 2010 at Heck Funeral Home, Milton with the Rev. Rex Bartholomew officiating. Burial will follow in Forest Memorial Park, Milton. Friends may call from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.
