William "Bill" Stowasser
January 29, 1924 - June 15, 2010

William “Bill” Stowasser, 86, of Hurricane died Tuesday, June 15, 2010 at home after a long illness. Funeral service will be conducted at 6 p.m. Friday, June 18, 2010 at Heck Funeral Home, Milton with Dr. Joyce Connelly officiating. Burial will be private in White Chapel Memorial Gardens, Barboursville. He was preceded in death by his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Earl Stowasser. He received the Purple Heart while serving in the US Army during World War II and was retired from Blenko Glass. He is survived by one daughter, Pamela Stowasser of Hurricane; one son, Gregory Stowasser of Elizabeth City, NC; one brother, Jimmy Stowasser; four sisters, Mary Edmonds, Opal Jordan, Hazel Jenkins and Nancy Lipsey; seven grandchildren and six great grandchildren. Viewing will be from 5 to 6 p.m. Friday at Heck Funeral Home.
