Gladys Leona Long, 90, of Milton, formerly of Apple Grove, went home to be with the Lord on Friday, January 10, 2014 surrounded by family at the home of her daughter, Marjorie Templeton, with whom she lived. She was born August 14, 1923 in Cabell County, WV, a daughter of the late Frank and Emma Kirby Morrison. She was also preceded in death by her first husband and the father of her children, Roy Leonard Gillenwater; her second husband, Harry Everett Bragg; and her last husband, Charles Plymal Long who died December 7, 2013; also a son, Larry Eugene Gillenwater and two stepchildren, Charlene Mead and Robert Long; four brothers, Roy Lester, Ray, Lloyd and Frankie Morrison; and three sisters, Mabel Waugh, Bethel Campbell and Mae Delong. Gladys was a member of Liberty Baptist Church in Culloden. She is survived by four children, Roy Gillenwater (Beverly) of Milton; Marjorie Templeton (Lewis) of Milton; Charlene Kay Webb (Jerry) of Culloden and Jack Gillenwater (Lawassa) of Milton; two stepchildren, James Bragg of Indiana and Linda Paul (Dale) of Indiana; four sisters, Mildred Waugh, Emmalene Hanshaw, Billie Yates and Mary Arthur; one brother, Floyd Morrison; 11 grandchildren; 16 great grandchildren; 7 great-great grandchildren and a host of family and friends. Funeral service will be conducted at 11 a.m. Tuesday, January 14, 2014 at Heck Funeral Home, Milton with Pastors Kim Stone and James Jobe officiating. Burial will follow in Highland Cemetery, Huntington. Visitation will be held from 6 to 9 p.m. Monday, January 13th at the funeral home.  The family would like to thank St. Mary’s Home Health and Hospice of Huntington for all the care that was given to her and the support that was given to the family.
