James William Pauley, 71, of Ona, went home to be with the Lord Friday, January 24, 2014 at Cabell-Huntington Hospital. Funeral service will be conducted at 2 p.m. Sunday, January 26, 2014 at Heck Funeral Home, Milton with Pastors Bill Davis and Don Weeks officiating. Burial will follow in Forest Memorial Park, Milton. He was born August 16, 1942 in Portsmouth, OH, a son of the late Lewis and Margaret Pauley. James was a truck driver all of his adult life and a member of Antioch Baptist Church, Ona. He is survived by his sister and brother-in-law, Patricia and Lowell Johnson of Ona; one niece, Margaret (Jay) Jefferson of Barboursville; two nephews, Christopher (Cristy) Johnson of Ona and Paul (Rose) Johnson of Slatington, PA; one living son and several great nieces, great nephews and cousins. Friends may call from 1 to 2 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.
