Jerry L. Wallace, 56, of Milton passed away on Thursday, January 23, 2014 at the Emogene Dolin Jones Hospice House in Huntington. He was born February 2, 1957 in Hurricane, a son of Janet M. Wallace and the late Billy Joe Wallace. He was also preceded in death by his best friend, cocker spaniel “Jif”. Jerry spent most of his life as the manager of the Village Inn Restaurant in Milton and loved life and the mountains of West Virginia. In addition to his mother, Janet Wallace of Culloden, he is survived by his wife, Sherri Wallace; two daughters, Brandi Wallace of Placida, FL and Nicole Wallace (David Dille) of Barboursville; sister, Joan McComas of Culloden; three brothers, Gregory Wallace (Dreama) of Louisville, KY, Mark Wallace of Culloden and Brent Wallace (Michelle) of Milton; sister-in-law, Terri Atkins (Steven McAulay) of Huntington; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and his special camping buddies. A memorial service will be held at 8 p.m. Tuesday, January 28, 2014 at Heck Funeral Home, Milton with Pastor Mark Finley officiating. Friends may call from 5 to 8 p.m. Tuesday. The family would like to thank Hospice of Huntington and all of Jerry’s friends and family who spent time with him during his final precious days at the hospice house.
