Floyd “Sherman” Sovine, 76, of Milton, passed away Saturday, January 11, 2014 at Genesis Putnam Center, Hurricane. Funeral service will be conducted at 1 p.m. Thursday, January 16, 2014 at Heck Funeral Home, Milton with Pastor Don Reynolds officiating. Burial will follow in Neal Cemetery, Milton. He was born November 3, 1937, a son of the late Ellet and Burrie Wallace Sovine. He was also preceded in death by his wife, Jeanette Sovine; two brothers, William and Emzie Sovine; and one sister, Lorenia Sovine. He is survived by one sister, Geneva Sovine of Milton; one son, Greg Sovine of Myrtle Beach, SC; three grandsons, Dustin, Dallas and Andrew Sovine; and several nieces and nephews. Friends may call from 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, January 15th at the Funeral Home.
