Obituary



Florence Helen Neal Ball, 92, of Milton, peacefully fell asleep and woke up in the arms of Jesus on August 24, 2015. She was born November 8, 1922, a daughter of the late Noble and Lula Conner Neal. She was preceded in death by her husband of 64 years, Elmer O. Ball; her daughter, Dorkas Gill; her son-in-law, Jerry Morrison; two brothers, Milton Neal and Berman Neal, and four sisters, Bernice Bledsoe, Pauline Nicholson, Emaline Williamson and Eunice Fields. Florence was a former employee of Holley Brothers store and Dollar General. She was a longtime member of 75 years at the Good Hope Baptist Church. She loved to crochet and shared her works of art in the way of bedspreads, Afghans, stockings and doilies. She shared her loved of singing hymns, reciting poems and stories with her family and friends. She was a loving mother to her son, Marvin (Barbara) Ball and her three daughters, Dotty (Bobby) Courts, Thelma (Buzzy) Hutchinson, Sharon Morrison and Eddy Jeffers; Grandmother of 12, Matthew Courts, Anita (George) Robinson, Michelle Linville, Lisa (Charley) Bowen, Teresa (Jesse) Waugh, Darrin (Jennifer) Ball, Heather (Donny) Adkins, April (Darren) Stanley, Michael (Melody) Morrison, Kristy (Trace) Ison, John (Amanda) Morrison and Eric (Rwandalee) Gill; 21 great-grandchildren, Natasha, Allison, Tabitha, Justin, Andrew, Leesha (David), Trey, Hayden, Tristan, Austin (Crystal), Hunter, Summer (Jason), Caleb, Darian, Zachary, Shawn, Zoey, Aaron, Robert, Ryan and Bryce; three great-great-grandchildren, Gideon, Colton and Raeleigh, and a host of nieces, nephews and her church family. Funeral Services will be held on Friday, August 28, 2015 at 1:00 P.M. with one hour of visitation prior at the Good Hope Baptist Church, Kilgore Creek Road, Milton, with Pastor Chad Clark and Rev. James Morris, officiating. Burial will follow at Forest Memorial Park, Milton. Friends may call on Thursday evening from 6-9 PM at Heck Funeral Home, Milton.
