Patsy “Pat” Nicholas, 82, of Milton, passed away on Saturday, August 29, 2015 at the Emogene Dolin Jones Hospice House in Huntington. Born April 1, 1933 in Lincoln County, she was a daughter of the late Alphus Daniel Johnson Sr. and Nellie Mae Bays. She was preceded in death by her husband, Emzy Nicholas; her brother, Dan Johnson; her son, Larry Allen Conner; her daughter, Elicia Faith Bias and her nephew, Lonnie Daniel Johnson. Pat moved to Milton in 1937 and ran the taxi service with Emzy for 18 years and worked at the Milton Foodland for 23 years. She was a member of the Union Baptist Church and attended the Washington Avenue Church of God for 13 years. Pat was a member of the Milton Business Association, the Milton Athletic Club, the Milton CB Club, was active on the Milton Child Abuse Program and served on the Milton city council for eight years. Pat loved singing gospel music and attended many gospel singing events. She loved life and her family. She is survived by her brother, Franklin (Joyce) Johnson of Milton; her special in-laws, Emmitt (Dottie) Nicholas of Milton; her grandchildren, Kevin (Charity) Conner of Milton and grandchildren, Carlie and Cara Bias of Ona; son-in-law, David Bias of Ona and special great-grandchildren, Josh (Angel Boy) Conner and Emily (Sweet Girl) Conner of Milton; her nephew, Monty (Lisa) Johnson of Springdale, WV; her step-daughters, Marian (Casey) Couch of Jackson, TN and Susie (Mark) Edwards of Parkersburg, and her special friends, Billie Jo Moore, Sheila Foster, Betty Ellenbrock and Debbie Weston. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, September 1, 2015 at 12:00 Noon with Pastor Gordon Knight, officiating, with visitation one hour prior at Heck Funeral Home, Milton. Burial will follow at Forest Memorial Park, Milton. Friends may call on Monday evening from 6-9 P.M. at the funeral home.
