EVA FRANCES MAIDEN
(February 22, 1925 - January 17, 2010)

Eva Frances Maiden, 84, of Barboursville, passed away Sunday, January 17, 2010, at the Emogene Dolin Jones Hospice House. She was born February 22, 1925, Raleigh County, W.V. a daughter of the late Dewey Ralph & Catherine White Day. She was a member of the Barboursville Baptist Church, Barboursville, a former volunteer at St. Mary's Medical Center, and a foster grandparent for United Way. She was also preceded in death by her husband Harlan (Jack) Maiden. Survivors include a daughter & son-law Diana & Wes Carrier of Barboursville; one son, Fred & Leigh Ann Maiden of Hilton Head, S.C., one step-daughter, Linda Johnson Campbellsburg, KY., Sisters, Katie Pennington of Beckley, W.V., Aravada Ashworth of Dayton, OH, Millie Radde of South Bend, IN. Two brothers, Pat Day of Oak Hill, W.V. and Douglas Day of Burlington, N.C. Six grandchildren, Emily Kinder Prince, William Kinder, Jeff Maiden, Corena Maye Maiden, Lauren Maiden, Chelsey Maiden and several step-grandchildren, one great-grandchild, Brooklyn Prince.  Funeral services will be conducted on Wednesday, January 20, 2010, at 1:00 P.M. at the Barboursville Baptist Church.  Burial will follow in White Chapel Memorial Gardens, Barboursville with Revs.Ron Burnsworth and Kenny Thomas officiating. Friends may call from 6:00-8:00 P.M. Tuesday January 19, 2010 at Henson Mortuary, Barboursville, and one hour prior to services at the church on Wednesday. Memorial donations may be made to Hospice of Huntington.
