BASIL C. BIAS, JR.
(April 17, 1921 - November 25, 2010)

Basil C. Bias, Jr. 89 of Huntington, died Thursday, November 25, 2010 in St. Mary’s Medical Center, Huntington.  He was born April 17, 1921 in Milton, WV the son of the late Basil C. and Ora Winifred Brown Bias. He was also preceded in death by his wife of 57 years, Betty Triplett Bias; one sister, Clodene Beaver; one brother, Richard “Dick” Bias. He was a WWII. U.S. Navy Veteran, member of the Lebanon Lodge # 68 A.F. & A.M, Milton, WV,  KY Colonel, member of the Paw-Taw Square Dance Club and a member of Pea ridge Baptist Church. He was also a former service station and Ryder Rental Truck owner in Huntington.   He is survived by  three daughters and son-in-laws, Trena Lynn and husband, Gary Saunders of Flowery Branch, GA, Jan and Bob Willis of Milton, WV and Jane and Tom Ferguson of Huntington, WV; four grandchildren, Melissa Weekley, Albert Wright, Clint Pemberton and Kara Swanson; four great-grandchildren, Kohl, Kyle, and Bethany Weekley and Joseph Swanson, II. There will be no visitation nor services.  Donations may be made to the Cabell-Wayne Association For The blind. Henson Mortuary, Barboursville is caring for the family.
