EDINE CORKRAN SCHOENLEIN Edine Corkran Schoenlein, 80 of Huntington, passed away Saturday, November 6, 2010 in Heritage Center, Huntington, W.Va. She formerly resided in Westview Manor, Huntington, W.Va. where she had many dear friends. Funeral Services will be conducted on Tuesday, November 9, 2010 at 7 p.m. at Henson Mortuary, Barboursville with Anthony Stradwick officiating. She was born November 28, 1929 in Huntington, W.Va. the daughter of the late Jere and Elizabeth Chaney Corkran. She was also preceded in death by one brother, J.P. Corkran. She was retired from the W.Va. Department of Rehabilitation, a lifelong democratic party activist, an avid reader and member of New Life Church, Huntington. She is survived by one son, Jere West and wife, Susan of Slidell, LA; three daughters, Kathryn Mann and husband, John and Patricia Scott of all of Huntington, W.Va. and Amanda Smith of Conn; five grandchildren, Thomas Boggs and wife, Stacie, James Scott, Garrett Smith, William Scott and Cheryl Scott; six great-grandchildren, Zack and Megan Boggs, Sophia Smith, Jade, Lily and Bella Scott; one, great-great grandchild. The family will receive friends from 6 p.m. until the 7 p.m. service time at Henson Mortuary, Barboursville, W.Va. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the National Multiple Sclerosis Foundation, America Diabetes Association or the Literacy Council. ROMANS 8:28 - And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose.
