JAMES R. CAMP
(July 28, 1932 - January 9, 2011)



JAMES RYLAND CAMP, 78, of Huntington W.Va. passed away at Emogene Dolin Jones Hospice House on January 9, 2011 from complications after a long battle with Parkinson's disease. Funeral services will be conducted at 1:00 p.m. on Wednesday, January 12, 2011 at Henson Mortuary, Barboursville, W.Va. 

He graduated from Barboursville High Sschool, served in the U.S. Air Force, and  was employed for many years by Sears where he retired as Contract Sales Manager at the Huntington Mall store in 1993. He was a member of the Cabell Huntington Convention and Visitors Bureau for several years and was a member of the Huntington Lodge 313 Elks, Barboursville Moose Lodge 2586, and the Barboursville American Legion Post 177.

James was born in Huntington, the youngest son of George and Ollie Keaton Camp, both deceased. Also preceding him in death were his two brothers, Claude E. Camp of Roanoke, VA and George E. Camp Jr. of Easton PA.

He is survived by his wife, Barbara (Fisher)of Huntington, two sons, James Stephen of Salt Rock, Russell Ryland of Culloden, one daughter, Diana Camp Bias (Denny) of Ona; four grandchildren; Jaime Bias Hutchinson of Milton, Lindsey M. Pinkerman Haas (Steve) of Barboursville, Carly D. Camp and Christopher R. Camp of Culloden, two great-grandchildren: Alexis M. Hutchinson of Milton and William R. Haas of Barboursville and many neices and nephews.

Thanks to those who helped with James' illness: his doctors and nurses of the Veterans' Hospital, St, Mary's Hospital and the Huntington Hospice House.

Also always present, helping and giving support were his children: Steve, Rusty, and Diana and friends, Lisa Sifford, Heather Lambert, Tammy Galford and Beverly Davis and the Bias family. Thanks to the Veterans' Administration, who sponsored Sarah Care Home Care and Senior' Day Care and Cabell County CCCSO. Special thanks goes to Barbara's sister and brother-in-law Patricia and Robert Doss who were always ready and willing to help.

Friends may call Tuesday, January 11, 2011 from 6-8 P.M. at Henson Mortuary, Barboursville and one hour prior to the service at HENSON MORTUARY BARBOURSVILLE.
