MICHAEL J. MELTON
(August 31, 1971 - December 3, 2015)

Michael James “Mike” Melton, 44 of Huntington, W.Va. passed away, Thursday, December 3, 2015 at the Emogene Dolin Jones Hospice House, Huntington, W.Va. He was born August 31, 1971 in Charleston, W.Va. the son James Arnold Melton and the late, Violet Jewel Butler Melton. He was a retired Chief Gunners Mate with United States Navy.  He is survived by his loving wife, Macil Adkins Melton of Huntington, W.Va; three daughters, Tiffany Harkleroad (Steve) of Teays Valley, W.Va; Jamie Melton and fiancé Alex Rogers and Abigal Melton all of Huntington, W.Va; one sister, Pam Cave (Eddie) of Harrisburg, VA; mother-in-law, Alice Reich (Steve) of Winston Salem, NC and father-in-law, Jim Adkins (Nancy) of Pekin, IN. Funeral services will be conducted at noon on Monday, December 7, 2015 at Henson & Kitchen Mortuary, Barboursville, W.Va. with Chelcie Gibson officiating. Burial and military honors will follow at the Donel C. Kinnard Memorial Veterans Cemetery, Dunbar, W.Va The family will receive friends on Monday from 10:00 AM until service at the funeral home.
