C. Roger Lewis, 73 of Huntington, W.Va, passed away, Thursday, December 14, 2017 in St. Mary’s Medical Center, Huntington, W.Va. He was born July 6, 1944. He is preceded in death by one daughter, Carrie Lynn Lewis; five brothers, Sherwin Lewis, Tenney Lewis, Junior Lewis, Cecil Lewis, Charles Parren Lewis; two sisters, Janice Powers, Alene Chapman. He is survived by his loving wife, Candy F. McVickers Lewis of Huntington, W.Va; two daughters, Becky Lewis (Chuck) Curry of Barboursville, W.Va. and Beth M. Lewis of Huntington, W.Va; one son, Daniel “Danny” and (Candace Knight) Lewis of Hurricane, W.Va; grandchildren, Haley, Taylor and Chase Curry and Brenden, Xander and Zane Lewis; two brothers, Darrell Lewis and Dalton Lewis; eight sisters, Connie Bartholomew, Neva Dee Goolsby, Mildred Jones, Phyllis Sadler, Nadine Gibson, Doris Jean Powers, Mary Alice Heck, and Laura Belle Banett. Mr. Lewis was an Optician and former owner of Lewis Fashion Eyewear, Huntington, W.Va. He was a U.S. Army Vietnam Veteran, a graduate of Marshall University, a longtime East Huntington Lions Club member and was also an avid Marshall sports fan and was a member of the Big Green Club. Funeral services will be conducted at 3:00 PM on Sunday, December 17, 2017 at Henson and Kitchen Mortuary Huntington, W.Va. near Barboursville with Dr. Jeremy Schaffer officiating. American Legion Post #139 Milton, W.Va. and the West Virginia Honor Guard will be providing Military Honors. The family will receive friends from 1:00 PM - 3:00 PM on Sunday at the mortuary.
