John Henry Martin, 72 of Ona, W.Va. passed away Tuesday, December 19, 2017 in St. Mary’s Medical Center, Huntington, W.Va. He was born January 6, 1945 in Cabell County, W.Va. the son of the late, Clarence and Ollie Kathleen Cyrus Martin. In addition to his parents he was also preceded in death by his wife of 53 years, Linda Marie Lycans Martin and one sister, Doris Ann Martin Lambert. He was a retired receiving clerk at State Electric Supply and a U.S. Vietnam Army Veteran. He is survived by one son, Jeffrey (Inne) Martin of Ona, W.Va; three daughters, Lisa Cordell (Charles) of Clarksville, TN, Amy Lusher of Ona, W.Va. and Andrea Martin (Larry) Crestview, Fla; sisters, Velma Clonch of Barboursville, W.Va. and Karen (Jim) Leach of Huntington, W.Va; brothers, Clarence (Sharon) Martin of SC., William (Ada) Martin of Culloden, W.Va, Robert Martin of Gray, TN, Larry (Linda) Martin of Ona, W.Va., and James (Karen) Martin of Gray, TN; nine grandchildren, Kayla, Johnathan, Andrew, Gregory, Justin, Kassandra, Christopher, Erik and Bradly; eleven great-grandchildren and a host of friends. Funeral services will be conducted at 11:00 AM on Thursday, December 21, 2017 at Henson & Kitchen Mortuary; Huntington, W.Va. with Doug Spurlock and Larry Skidmore officiating. Entombment will follow in White Chapel Memorial Gardens, Barboursville, W.Va. with American Legion Post #139 and the West Virginia Honor Guard providing military honors. The family will receive friends from 6-8 PM on Wednesday, December 20, 2017 at Henson & Kitchen Mortuary, Huntington, W.Va.
