Wesley Andrew King, Jr., 85 of Barboursville, W.Va. passed away, Saturday, January 14, 2017 in St. Mary’s Medical Center, Huntington, W.Va. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army and retired from the Corps of Engineers where he served as the Chief of the Inspection Branch and Chief of the EPA Construction Branch. He graduated from Charleston High School and Marshall University. He also attended the University of Iowa and the University of Houston. He was preceded in death by his wife, Patricia Ann (New) King; his father and mother, Wesley A. and Cecile King; two sisters, Alice Amick and Jackie Detamore. He is survived by his daughter, Barbara Carter (Mike) and one son, David A. King; brother, Ronald Sexton, (Dada); grandson Joshua Greenwood; great-grandsons, Joshua and Harlan Greenwood. Funeral services will be conducted at 1:00 PM on Wednesday, January 18, 2017 at Henson & Kitchen Mortuary; Huntington, W.Va. Burial will follow in Ridgelawn Memorial Park, Huntington, W.Va.
