Alta Vivian Adkins, 78 of Huntington, W.Va. passed away, Tuesday, October 17, 2017 in the Emogene Dolin Jones Hospice House, Huntington, W.Va. She was born September 29, 1939 in Lincoln County, W.Va. the daughter of the late, John Harvey and Mary Ann Maynard Adkins. She was a retired truck driver. In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by three sisters, Mary Katherine Olson, Tina Mae Butcher, Tammy Ann Baker Gillette and two brothers, Kenneth Lee Hamilton and Jessie Adkins. She is survived by her son, James Michael Butcher of Warren, OH. and one daughter, Vivian Hamilton of Huntington, W.Va; sisters, Janet Artrip of Barboursville, W.Va, Betty Lou Trent of Huntington, W.Va, Hazel Little of Dover, NJ and Angie of VA; one brother, Robert Henry Adkins of Mich. Arrangements are incomplete at Henson and Kitchen Mortuary, Huntington, W.Va.
