Phillip Edward Thompson, 75 of Huntington, WV passed away, Saturday, February 10, 2018. He was born August 4, 1942 in Huntington, WV the son of the late, Thomas Edward and Emma Wright Thompson. He was a retired Welder. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one brother, Dewey Thompson of North Carolina and two sisters, Irene Barton of Cleveland, OH and Mary Jude of Chesapeake, OH. He is survived by his wife, Leola Gartin Thompson of Huntington, WV; five children, Phillip Thompson of Ona, WV, Tammy Nichols Thompson of Ona, WV, Theresa Thompson, Gina Rayburn of Barboursville, WV and Chris (Shari) Thompson of Lesage, WV; one sister, Emily Gue of Huntington, WV; Thirteen Grandchildren, Lucy, Gabe, Lucas, Crystal, Christina, Phillip Thompson III, Marie, Priscilla, Theresa, Charles Boling Jr., Tabbatha, Courtney Thompson and Devon Rayburn; Eleven Great-Grand Children, Destiny and Tyler Beis, McKenzie, Jacob, Alaina and Gabrielle Boling, Brianna, Caleb, and Justice Gray, Emily and Joshua Rigney, as well as a host of family and friends. Funeral services will be conducted at 7:00 PM on Friday, February 16, 2018 at Henson & Kitchen Mortuary, Huntington, WV near Barboursville with Pastor Dwight Mays officiating. The family will receive friends from 5:00 - 7:00 PM on Friday at the mortuary.
