Arvie Leon Maynard, 91 of Huntington, WV passed away, Friday, May 25, 2018 in the Emogene Dolin Jones Hospice House, Huntington, WV. He was born August 14, 1926 in Columbus Grove, Ohio to the late Henry and Martha Maynard. He was a retired minister and was a U.S. Army Veteran.  He is survived by his beloved wife, Dorothy Maynard of Huntington, WV; two sisters, Nancy Klier and Diane Henderson; one brother, Larry Maynard; one daughter, Sandra Thomas Herrold and her husband Phillip "Bud" of Barboursville, WV; two grandchildren, Rebecca and Joseph Thomas; as well as a host of family and friends. There will be a Service of Witness to the Resurrection at 1:00 PM, on Saturday, June 23, 2018 at Bates Memorial Presbyterian Church with Rev. Scott Hoppe and Johnny Arbuckle officiating. Henson and Kitchen Mortuary, 6357 E. Pea Ridge Road, Barboursville, is caring for the family.
