Richard Anthony “Rick” Novak, 60 of Culloden, WV passed away on Tuesday, May 1, 2018 at Hubbard Hospice House in Charleston, WV. He was born on August 20, 1957 in Cleveland, OH the son of the late, Elizabeth Gabfelder. In addition to his mother, he was preceded in death by his sister, Rita Midkiff. He was an Assistant Manager at Wal-Mart of Hurricane, WV. He is survived by his wife of twenty-one years, Patti Sue Anderson Novak of Culloden, WV; daughter, Jolene Elizabeth Novak (DeShode) Clark of Charleston, WV, two sons, Richard Anthony Novak, II. of Charleston, WV and Michael Lyle (Hannah) Bowyer of Lesage, WV; four grandchildren, Calista Amethyst Novak, Kiona Lynn Novak, DeShode Clark, Jr. and Kassiah Jeanea Clark and a host of family and friends. Special thanks to the nurses at CAMC Teays Valley Cancer Center and the Hubbard House Hospice, Charleston, WV. Funeral services will be conducted at 1:00 PM on Saturday, May 5, 2018 at Henson and Kitchen Mortuary, East Pea Ridge Road, Barboursville, WV with Pastor Mike Boling officiating. Burial will follow in Oaklawn Cemetery, Huntington, WV. The family will receive friends two hours prior to services at the mortuary.
