Jimmie Dale Spurlock, 82 of Glenwood, WV, passed away, Wednesday, May 30, 2018 at his residence. He was born June 28, 1935 in Lesage, WV the son of the late, Lester and Maude Scarberry Spurlock. He was retired from Morris Memorial Nursing Home, Milton, WV working in farm management. He was preceded in death by four brothers, Webb, Manford, Bob and Larry Spurlock; two sisters, Freda Gilpin and Nancy Harrison. He is survived by his beloved wife, Nancy Trippett Spurlock of Glenwood, WV; one son, David (Tonya) Spurlock of Lesage, WV; one special daughter, Karen Mayes of Apple Grove, WV; two granddaughters, Dava (Adam) Alt and Corey (Josh) Batey; one foster granddaughter, Samantha Linville; two sisters, Peggy (Garland) Knapp of Lesage, WV and Annetta (Jerry) Short of Glenwood, WV; one brother, Gary (Gail) Spurlock of Ona, WV; five sister in laws, Ann, Eva and Peggy Spurlock, June Brumfield, and Phyllis (Alva) Pinkerman; and a host of nieces, nephews and friends. The family would like to thank Hospice of Huntington and Dr. Robert Turner for their exceptional care. Funeral services will take place at 12:00 PM Noon, on Saturday, June 2, 2018 at Henson and Kitchen Mortuary, 6357 East Pea Ridge Road, Huntington, WV, with Pastor Jackie Clark officiating. Burial will follow at Greenbottom Cemetery, Lesage, WV. The family will receive friends from 10:00 AM until Noon on Saturday at the mortuary.
