Billie Jean Keller
June 21, 1929 - February 27, 2010



Billie Jean Davis Woods Ware Keller, 80, of Huntington passed away on February 27, 2010 at St. Mary’s Medical Center. She was born June 21, 1929 in Williamson, WV, daughter of the late George and Mabel Davis. She is also preceded in death by her husbands, one daughter; Margaret Ann, a sister; Nina Bartley and a brother Fred Davis. Billie volunteered many years for Hospice and the VA Hospital. She was a Juried Artist and a life-long member of Central United Methodist Church. She belonged to the American Legion Auxiliary. She worked as a seamstress for Aldridge Furs, Silver Brand Clothes and Lambros Bros & Sons Ltd.; and as a glass painter at Bonita Glass Co. for several years. Billie is survived by her sons; Scott and Lane Woods and their wives, her foster daughter; Nora Scott, eight grandchildren and several great grandchildren, her sister; Margaret Vass, and brother; Homer Davis; three step-daughters, Mary Beth Dauble, Kathy Albert and Joan Lysne; and several nephews and nieces. Billie was a warm, compassionate, generous, hard-working, loving individual and will be sadly missed by her friends and family. A memorial service will be held 11:00 a.m. Saturday March 6, 2010 by the Rev. Luana Cook Scott at Central United Methodist Church, Huntington. In lieu of flowers the family suggests donations be made to Hospice of Huntington.
