Elaine Rose Skoll
June 20, 1923 - February 28, 2010


Elaine Rose Skoll, 86, of Huntington, passed away February 28, 2010. She was born on June 20, 1923 in Racine, WI., daughter of the late Morris and Gertrude Rose. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her brother, Ronald Rose. Elaine grew up in Los Angeles, CA. and graduated from City College of Los Angeles. She worked for War Assets during World War II. She dedicated her life to caring for her family, friends and strangers which quickly became friends. While her children were young she worked as the secretary and substitute Sunday school teacher at Ohev Shalom Temple. As well as an active member of the sisterhood. She was also a welcome wagon hostess. Later in life she became known as grandmom Belaine to many young children who loved to talk to her over the phone and telling her stories about their lives.She is survived by her husband of 62 years Barrett Skoll, two daughters Diane (John) Sensenig of Lexington KY and Ronda (Ernie) White of Hatfield, PA. Six Grandchildren Scott Sensenig of Providencetown, MA, Kristina Sensenig of Louisville KY, Wendy Hawkins of Sulphur KY, Joseph (JC) Hill of Lansdale PA, Monica (Moni) White of Clermont FL, Ronda Ilene White of Norristown, PA, 4 GreatGrandChildren , Joseph (LJ) Hill, Loren Marie Hill, Robert (Bobby) Hill and Cheyanne White. Graveside services will be held 1:30 p.m. Thursday, March 4, 2010 by Rabbi Dr. David E. Wucher at Spring Hill Cemetery followed by a reception at the B’NAI Sholom Congregation .In lieu of flowers, it is suggested that contributions be made to the Hospice House of Huntington.
