Carole Lee Campbell Jeffers,
82, of Huntington, died Tuesday, June 22, 2010. She was born April 28, 1928,
a daughter of the late John Calvin Jenkins and Ora Kessinger Jenkins. She
was a retired nurse. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death
by her first husband William Mason Campbell and second husband Golden
Jeffers; a brother Jesse Jenkins; a nephew Robert “Bob” Jenkins; and a
granddaughter Kaitlin Dawn Campbell. Surviving are her two sons and
daughters-in-law, Mark and Karen Campbell of Kenova and David and Carolyn
Campbell of Huntington; four grandchildren, Matthew Campbell and his fiance’
Jessica Lewis of Kenova, Michael Campbell and his fiance’ Emily Engel of
Columbia, MD., Catherine and Kelli Campbell of Huntington, a sister-in-law
Maxine Jenkins and her nieces and nephews Sandy Joseph, Cheryl Jenkins,
Marsha Imhoff, Ronnie Jenkins and Ted Jenkins of Proctorville and Rome, OH.
A celebration of her life will be held 2 p.m. on Saturday, June 26, 2010 by
Dr. Allen Reasons at Klingel Carpenter Mortuary. Visitation will be 12 noon
until service time. Interment will follow in White Chapel Memorial Gardens.
Carole enjoyed spending time with her family and her many neighbors and
friends, including the ladies from Ceredo and Kenova and the McDonalds
breakfast and lunch group. The family expresses appreciation to the
physicians and staff of the medical and assisted living facilities that
helped care for her and the ministerial staff of the Fifth Avenue Baptist
Church and the other churches for the many visits to attend to her spiritual
needs. It is suggested that memorial contributions be made to the Mainstream
Services Inc. Kaitlin Campbell Activity Center, 4757 Rt. 152, Lavalette, WV
