Mrs Nancy Beatty
(October 9, 1947 - March 20, 2011)

Nancy Carson Cloke Beatty, 63, of Huntington, passed away Sunday, March 20, 2011 in Lexington, KY with her family by her side. She was born on October 9, 1947 in Richmond, VA to the late Howard M. Jr. and Dorothy P. Cloke. Nancy was preceded in death by her husband, William C. Beatty and her brother, Howard M. Cloke III. Survivors include a daughter, Anne Beatty Piatt and her husband Matthew H. Piatt of Lexington, KY; a son, James A. Beatty of Fort Wayne, IN and two grandchildren, William M. Piatt and Hannah C. Piatt. Nancy was a graduate of Huntington East High School and Marshall University receiving a BA in Education. Before her illness she was an avid tennis player and loved traveling the world. Nancy showed her love of animals while volunteering many years for Help For Animals. A memorial service will be held at 2:00 P.M. Friday, March 25, 2011 at Klingel-Carpenter Mortuary. A visitation will be from 1:00 P.M. until service time. The family suggests donations be made to Hospice of the Bluegrass, 2312 Alexandria Drive, Lexington, KY 40504 or the Lexington Humane Society, 1600 Old Frankfort Pike, Lexington, KY 40504.
