Ms. Mary Elizabeth Sexton
(December 9, 1920 - March 26, 2011)



Mary E. Sexton, 90, of Huntington, went to her heavenly reward Saturday, March 26, 2011 in St. Mary’s Medical Center. Mary was born December 9, 1920 in Huntington, daughter of the late John and Maude Sexton. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her special friend, Lucille Bias. She joined the First Pilgrim Holiness Church on May 20, 1938 and was the oldest member of the now First Wesleyan Church where she was very active in her earlier years. She was a role model down through the years and was a real prayer warrior. Mary retired from the Veterans Administration Regional Office in Huntington. Survivors include her devoted friend and caregiver, Barbara Bias and a loving pet “Tippy”. Funeral services will be held 2 p.m. Wednesday, March 30, 2011 at the First Wesleyan Church by Pastor Glen Robinson and Rev. Larry Arbogast. Interment will follow in Spring Hill Cemetery. Visitation will be 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, March 29, 2011 at Klingel Carpenter Mortuary.
