Peggy Ann (Morgan) Anderson
(August 22, 1952 - May 22, 2014)

Peggy Ann Anderson, 61, died peacefully at St. Mary’s Medical Center on Thursday, May 22, 2014 after a long illness. She was born August 22, 1952; she grew up in Barboursville, and Wilmington, Oh, where she lived and worked as a home care aide until she became disabled by her own health problems. She returned to Barboursville and lived the rest of her life in her childhood home. Peggy’s strong faith and a supportive circle of friends made her able to live independently and care for her cats as she lost her lost her sight and her health continued to decline. She was preceded in death by her parents, Sherben and Erma Lee Morgan, and by her niece Emily Morgan. She is survived by her brother Sanford Morgan, his wife Julia and her family, Louise Malone, and Linda and Gary Painter. The family would like to thank Jackie Brown, her worker from CCCSO, whose care and attention kept Peggy living in her own little house until her death. They would also like to thank the nursing staff of CVICU at St. Mary’s, who kept her comfortable in her final days. Funeral service will be held 1:00 PM, Wednesday, May 28, 2014 at Klingel-Carpenter Mortuary. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service. Graveside services will be private. The family suggest memorial contributions be made to the animal rescue agency of your choice.
