Peter Z. Wilson
(October 27, 1918 - May 11, 2014)

Peter Zouck Wilson passed May 11, 2012 in Huntington WV. He was born in 1918 in North Wilkesboro, NC to Martha Ellen Zouck and Willis L. Wilson and moved with his family at an early age to Huntington. He graduated with honors at Huntington High, and attended Leheigh University, graduating with a degree in Chemical Engineering. He worked for Westinghouse Electric Company in Pittsburgh, and was one of the earliest to volunteer for service in the Navy after Pearl Harbor. He became a naval officer, graduating at Annapolis in the V12 program. He served in both the Atlantic and Pacific during WW2 as a Lt J.G. After the war, he attended Stanford University working on an M.B.A. degree. He spent many years in Santa Monica CA. When the Woodlands retirement community opened, he was glad to come back to WV and became one of their first residents. He leaves a sister, Martha Brandt, 2 nieces, Mary Gould and Sara Galyean, a great-nephew, Wilson Galyean and one nephew, Bill Brandt. Services will be private.
