ObituaryLarry William Franks
Larry William Franks, 67, of Barboursville, died Monday, July 20, 2015 at his residence after an extended illness. He was born September 5, 1947 in Columbus, Ohio, a son of the late Lawrence E. and M. Jane Doolittle Franks. He was a retired Civil Engineer with the U. S. Army Corps of Engineers. He was a member of First Presbyterian Church where he was an Elder. He volunteered in many church and community activities. Larry is survived by his wife, Kathleen Ann Klippel Franks; two sons and daughters-in-law, Adam and Emily Franks of Huntington and Kevin and Lara Franks of Milton; five grandchildren, Maria Caputo-Streit, Bradley, Colin, Margaret and Grady Franks; one brother, Terry Eugene (Ann) Franks, Port Clinton, Ohio and several nieces, nephews and cousins. Special thanks to his devoted caregiver, Brenda Bocook. Memorial Service will be held 3:00 p.m. Sunday, July 26, 2015 at The First Presbyterian Church by. Rev. Skip Seibel, Rev. Bob Bondurant and Rev Dr. John Minihan. Friends may call Sunday 2:00 p.m. until service time at the Church. Klingel-Carpenter Mortuary is assisting the family.
