Jack Carlos Templeton
(December 26, 1924 - July 13, 2015)

Jack C. Templeton, 90, passed away July 13, 2015 at Woodlands Retirement Community. Funeral services will be conducted at 3:00 p.m. Friday, July 17th at Klingel-Carpenter Mortuary, Huntington, with Chris Perkins officiating. Friends may visit with the family one hour before the service. Burial will be in Spring Hill Cemetery. Jack was born December 26, 1924 in Huntington, WV, the only son of Thomas J. and Florence Harlow Templeton. He attended local public schools and graduated from Marshall University (College) in 1948. During World War II he was an officer in the United States Navy serving in Japan. He was retired from CSX having worked as a Supervisor of Tests in the Mechanical Department. He was a member of Enslow Park Presbyterian Church. He is survived by his wife of 65 years, Carolyn Reed Templeton; two sons, J. Reed Templeton (Elizabeth) of Richmond, VA, Marc H. Templeton (Sharel) of Lexington, KY; four grandchildren: Laura Templeton O’Connor (Dominic) of Washington, D.C; John A. Templeton (fiance, Colleen Haley) of New Orleans, LA; D. Reed Templeton, of Irvine, KY; David T. Templeton of Lexington, KY. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be sent to Hospice of Huntington 1101 6th Ave, Huntington, WV 25701.
