Obituary

James Herman Lawrence
(September 21, 1929 - December 17, 2019)

James Herman “Jim” Lawrence, 88, of Huntington, died Sunday, December 17, 2017 in Emogene Dolin Jones Hospice House of Huntington. A funeral service will be held 1 p.m. Wednesday, December 20, 2017 by the Rev. Eric Porterfield  at The Fifth Avenue Baptist Church Chapel with visitation from 12 noon until service. Jim was born September 21, 1929 in Tazwell, VA, the son of the late Charles Newton and Ora Ridenhour Lawrence.  He was a member of the Fifth Avenue Baptist Church and a Korean War Army Veteran . Jim was retired from Pfizer Pharmaceutical Company. He was a member of the Huntington City Club and the Marshall Big Green Club. Survivors include his wife, Linda Darlington Lawrence; daughter, Debbie Duvall (David) of Flatwoods, KY; two grandchildren, Michael Taylor McClure and Madeline Grace DuVall.
