David Paul Carroll
(May 14, 1956 - June 11, 2018)

David Paul Carroll, 62, of Shoals, died Monday, June 11, 2018 in Cabell Huntington Hospital.  He was born May 14, 1956 in Huntington, a son of the late Paul W. and Pansy Jewel Adkins Carroll. He was also preceded in death by a brother, Charles Emerson Carroll.  He was a graduate of Marshall University receiving his B.A. degree in 1980 and his M.S. degree in 1985. He retired after 33 years of teaching at C-K Middle School, was an Athletic Trainer for several Wayne County High Schools and a member of the Shoals Missionary Baptist Church.  He was a livestock dealer with his son and an avid Farmer. He is survived by his wife, Bobbie Ann Hogan Carroll; his son, James Wesley Carroll of Shoals; two sisters, Paula (Robert) Quinn of New Bern, NC and Edna Farley of Shoals; one brother, Howard D. (Gina) Carroll of Shoals and several nieces and nephews.  Services will be held Noon Friday, June 15, 2018 at the Shoals Missionary Baptist Church by Pastor Rick Webber.  Interment will follow in Brumfield Family Cemetery.  Visitation will be held 11:00 a.m. until service time at the church.
