Obituary

Alice Reeser Voitelle
(March 22, 1949 - June 7, 2018)

Alice Ann Reeser Polan Voitelle, 69, slipped quietly out of Hospice House and into Heaven during the early morning hours of June 7, 2018.
She was born in Huntington on March 22, 1949 to the late Robert Lawson Reeser and Mary Ann Humphreys Reeser Daniel.  She is survived by one sister and primary-care giver, Lynn Fischer (Bob), of Huntington and one brother, Robert Lawson Reeser, Jr. of Escanaba, Michigan.  She is also survived by three sons:  Robert Shane Polan (Suzanne) and Michael Joseph Polan of Huntington and Jon Robert Voitelle, Jr. (Carrie) of Proctorville, Ohio.  Additional survivors include two grandchildren, Gavin Polan and Brynlee Voitelle.  Alice graduated from Huntington High School and attended Marshall University.  For short periods of time she lived in Sarasota, Florida and Myrtle Beach, South Carolina but Alice spent most of her adult life in Huntington.  She worked several years caring for developmentally disabled adults at Green Acres Regional Center in Lesage, WV but she devoted the major part of her life to being a mother and a home maker.  One avocation that filled the middle years of her life and provided her immense satisfaction was training and showing Tennessee Walker horses.  A memorial service will be held 2 PM Saturday, June 9, 2018 at Klingel-Carpenter Mortuary, Huntington.  Visitation will be from 1 to 2 PM prior to the service.
