Margaret Ann Neighborgall Riggs Stewart
(July 15, 1924 - June 17, 2018)



MARGARET ANN NEIGHBORGALL RIGGS STEWART, 93, of Huntington, died Sunday, June 17, 2018. She was born July 15, 1924, a daughter of the late Charles R. "CR" and Lula Alice Stanley Neighborgall. She was also preceded in death by husbands, Stephen F. Riggs and Charles William Stewart; an infant daughter, Margo Stanley Riggs; brothers, Claude W. Neighborgall and Charles R. Neighborgall II; nephew, Billy Neighborgall; brother-in-law, Tom Riggs; sister-in-law, Eleanor Sullivan, and brother-in-law and dear friend, Ray Sullivan. Margaret Ann was a graduate of Huntington High School and attended Marshall University, where she was a member of Sigma Kappa Sorority, an active member of the World War Il of A.W.V.S., member of the Women's Club of Huntington, Cotillion Club, Ivy Club at Guyan Country Club, ABC Class, First United Methodist Church and a longtime member of the Huntington Duplicate Club. Margaret Ann loved her family and friends and her roses. She is survived by her son, Stephen F. Riggs II; grand-daughter, Stephanie Grace Sterrit; step-children: Carol Stewart Carrico (Larry), Barbara Stewart Mitchell (Gary) and Chuck Stewart (Sheree); nephews, Charles R. Neighborgall Ill, Robert Clark Neighborgall; nieces, Cathy Sullivan Terry (Jim), Susan Sullivan Grambos; step-grandchildren: Katie Carrico Watts, Emily Carrico, Sarah Carrico Kahlich, Jaclyn Stewart Sawicki, Yvonne Stewart Corea, Charles William Stewart II, Missie Van Meter, David Mitchell, Chris Mitchell, Chris Burgess and Kimberly Burgess; step-great-granddaughter, Addison Burgess; great granddaughter, Madison Van Meter; step great grandson, Ethan Burgess; great nephews, C. R. Neighborgall, Clark Neighborgall and Zachary Grambos; great nieces, Jennifer Ann Loftis, Amy Lynn Fisher and Beth Ann Gamponia; and numerous great-great nephews and nieces. The family extends a special thanks to the staff of “The Wyngate at Rivers Edge” in Proctorville, Ohio, for their wonderful care of Margaret.  There will be a gathering of family and friends on Wednesday, June 27, 2018 from 2 to 4 p.m. at Klingel-Carpenter Mortuary.
