Obituary

Harriet Farmer
(March 31, 1923 - June 22, 2018)

Aunt Harriet (Gawryl) Farmer, born on May 31, 1923 in Chicago, Illinois, Cook County to the late Helen  and Stanley Gawryl, passed away at age 95 on June 22, 2018 in Cable Huntington Hospital Huntington, West Virginia. Harriet attended Lucy Flower High School, Chicago Ill.. She was a jeweler at Farmer Jewelry, Chicago Ill. Harriet was the loving wife of the late Joseph Farmer. She was preceded in death by her sisters, Deloris Brandom and Virginia Ochala; and her dog, Frostie. Harriet is survived by her niece, Denise Galliher; nephew, Maj. Thomas M. Ochala, USMC Ret.; and, niece Pamela Knapp Ochala.  She also leaves behind her greatly loved cat, Mr. Boston and dogs, Banzai and Fu Manchu “Chewie”. She was of the Catholic faith. The memorial service plans are incomplete at this time but will be provided to family and friends at a later date.
