Wesley Brown
(October 29, 1923 - July 25, 2013)


Wesley Brown, 89, of Huntington, passed away Thursday July 25, 2013 in Cabell Huntington Hospital. Funeral services will be conducted at 2 pm Sunday at the Reger Funeral Chapel by Rev. Larry Skidmore. Burial will follow in Woodmere Memorial Park, Huntington. He was born October 29, 1923 in Lawrence County, KY to the late Ben and Amy Leslie Brown. He was employed in the plating department of Houdialle Industries. Wesley was a veteran of the US Army having served during WWII and was a lifetime member of the American Legion Post 93 of Kenova. In addition to his parents he was also preceded in death by his wife Ruby Dillon Brown; four brothers Bennie, Kiner, Paul and Herman Brown and three sisters June Boyd, Mae Chandler and Dorothy Salyers. Survivors include two nephews Ron and Nita Sharrock and Don and Ruth June Sharrock; niece Donna Brammer and Whitney Brammer and many other nieces and nephews; several cousins including special cousins Dallas Hannah, Etta Swann and Coetta Hannah; a lifelong friend Doug Borders; special friends Elbie Maynard, Carl Taylor and the Halls and several other friends. Friends may call from 5 to 7 pm Saturday at the Reger Funeral Chapel. American Legion Post 93 of Kenova will conduct military graveside rites.
