Herbert Lee Talbert
(July 10, 1948 - July 19, 2013)



Herbert Lee Talbert, 65, of Huntington, passed away Friday July 19, 2013 at his residence. Funeral services will be conducted at 1 pm Thursday at the Reger Funeral Chapel by Pastor Chuck Lawrence. Burial will follow in Woodmere Memorial Park, Huntington. He was born July 10, 1948 in Mingo County, WV a son of the late Herbert Roscoe and Bernice Maynard Talbert. He was a retired supervisor with Calgon Carbon Corp. of Catlettsburg, KY. Herbert was employed at Mildred Mitchell Bateman Hospital and was a member of the United Steel Workers Union. He was a member of Grace Gospel Church. Herbert was a veteran of the US Navy having served during the Vietnam War. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by a half brother Ray Talbert. Survivors include his wife of 34 years Vickie Lynn Webb Talbert; two sons and a daughter in law Justin Trent and Hannah Talbert of Huntington and Tony Talbert of Kenova, WV; a daughter Emily Nicole Talbert of Huntington; a very precious grandson Logan Trent Talbert; brother and sister in law Ted and Laura Talbert of Huntington; two sisters Nedra Combs of Wayne County, WV and Christine Moore of NC; half brother Rennie Talbert of Wayne, WV; several nieces and nephews and three very special friends Jimmy Thompson, Matt Hall and Steve Galloway. Friends may call from 6 to 8 pm Wednesday at the Reger Funeral Home. American Legion Post #93, of Kenova, W. Va., will conduct military graveside rites.
