Ruby Dierdorff
(September 21, 1925 - July 2, 2013)



Ruby Dierdorff, 87 of South Point, OH, passed away Tuesday, July 2, 2013 in the Emogene Dolin Jones Hospice House, Huntington, WV. Funeral services will be conducted at 1:00 p.m. Saturday, July 6, 2013 at the Reger Funeral Chapel by Pastor Matt Dierdorff and Pastor Jonathan Dierdorff . Burial will follow in White Chapel Memorial Gardens, Barboursville, WV. Ruby was born September 21, 1925 in Webb, WV a daughter of the late Christopher and America Perry Chaffin; she was a member of Poplar Street Church of God and had worked as a nurse at Wright Patterson Air Force Base. She was also preceded in death by her husband Richard Raymond Dierdorff, and two sisters, Anna Huebner and Opal Smith. Survivors include two sons, Joe Allen Dierdorff of Ironton, OH, Donald Ray and his wife Gladys Sue Dierdorff of Barboursville, WV, step-daughter Diane Braydon of Griffin, GA. Her grandchildren include: Matt and Jonathan Dierdorff , Andrea Fortner, Dr. Daniel Joe Dierdorff I, Joshua David Dierdorff, Zachary Dierdorff, Doug McKenzie, Stuart McKenzie, Daniel McKenzie and Sherry Jones. Great grandchildren are as follows: Gavin Dierdorff, Liam Dierdorff, Carter Dierdorff, Brock Fortner, Braxton Fortner, and Daniel Joe Dierdorff II. Ruby is also survived by two brothers, William “Bill” Chaffin and Robert Chaffin, and a life-long friend, for over fifty years, Wanda Dean. Visitation will be from 11:00 a.m. Saturday until service time at 1:00 p.m. at the Reger Funeral Home.
