Shelley Renee Mathis, 39, of Huntington, passed away Thursday March 10, 2016 at Cabell Huntington Hospital. A Celebration of Life will be conducted at 11 AM Friday at the Jefferson Ave. Church of God by Pastor Greg Tomlinson and Pastor Rod Justice. Burial will follow in Mt. Vernon Cemetery, Wayne, WV. She was born March 16, 1976 in Huntington and was a homemaker. Survivors include her mother and step father Marta and Joel Hooker; father and step mother Roy Cassidy and Shela Clark; children Jonah Mathis (Amber), Kassidy Mathis, Ainsley Mathis and Rylee Spry; sister and brother in law Kristi and Rob Preston; nephews Taylor and Dylan and her nieces, nephews, cousins, family and friends. All of whom were very dear to her heart and she loved very much. Our Shelley was selfless, thoughtful, loving, kind hearted, devoted, gentle, generous, friendly, supportive, humorous and caring. She touched the lives of so many and will be missed greatly. Friends may call from 5 to 8 pm on Thursday at the Jefferson Ave. Church of God. Reger Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
