John Edward Smith, 84, of South Point, Ohio, died March 15, 2016 at St. Mary’s Medical Center. He was retired as the department head for Counseling and Rehabilitation at Marshall University. He is survived by his Tennie, two sons Mark and Shawn, their wives Pam and Wanda respectively, and grandson Andrew. John was a member of Trinity Episcopal Church and a celebration of life will be held at a later date. Reger Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements.
