Carl Edward Black Jr.
(July 18, 1944 - January 30, 2012)

Carl Edward "Blackie" Black Jr., 67, of Barboursville, WV, passed away Monday, January 30, 2012, at the Emogene Dolin Jones Hospice House. He was born July 18, 1944, in Cabell County, WV, a son of the late Carl Edward Black and Mildred Ross Black. He was an employee of Kohls Department Store and was a former barber in Barboursville and retired employee of Marshall University. He was a veteran of the Vietnam War serving in the US Army and was a member of V.F.W. Post #9738 in Guyandotte. He is survived by his wife, Linda Wallace Black; one daughter, Cindy Blevins of Barboursville; one son, Jody Cazad of Wylie, Texas; one sister, Bridget Deal of Ona, WV; five grandchildren, Raymond Blevins, Joseph Blevins, Sarah Blevins, Shane Cazad and Shelby Cazad; and a niece, Amber Ouillette. A memorial service will be held at 1 p.m. Thursday, February 2, 2012, at the Wallace Funeral Home, Barboursville. Visitation will be one hour before the service. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Emogene Dolin Jones Hospice House or charity of one's choice.
